You know that feeling you get when you see or watch something so wonderful and it waves of happiness wash over you..well I just got mine watching the Dior J'adore Advert. Not only does it present Charlize Theron in all her glory in the exquisite gold halter-neck floor length, figure hugging gown. Thanks to the genius of special effects they have wonderfully worked in Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich and Grace Kelly adding allure, class and a sense of nostalgia to the Dior advert. Whisking us back to a time when women were more than celebrities, they were stars, the closest to Gods we had. Charlize struts down the gold catwalk so naturally, you'd almost expect to her work her way around Sainsbury's like that! If that advert doesn't make you coo over the delights Dior offers up in a smorgasbord of style and innovative design!
And as for the Chanel advert, another one I'm happily in love with, albeit including Miss Knightly, an actress who finds in impossible to open her mouth be it to deliver lines on take in food. Note to Keira: Pouting is not an emotion!!! However the advert with the motorbikes and photographer reminiscent of the swinging sixties style draws me in further and I'm able to forget the fact Karl Lagerfeld repeatedly casts Little Miss Pout. Instead however, I think he should use one of his favourite muses, miss Florence Welch, who's new video "Shake it Out!" is sensational as she explores her irreverent take on couture in an opulent Masquerade setting showing that gingers are and shall remain sexy!
These are the little things that make me smile, as this is the art we live our lives in, and let's face it who doesn't want to be fabulous!!
